Kolhapur Auto Works Pvt Ltd, Part of the KAW Group has conceived its business operations since 1962 and is a world leader as a manufacturer, supplier and exporter with a wide product range for industries in Sugar, & later diversified to Cement & Mining as well. Our products are manufactured in our State of the Art Machine shop and Foundry spread across 60,000 sq feet in order to deliver the best to our customers at a reasonable price. Our products & services are acknowledged for their optimum quality, Durability & reliability.

Foundation in Udyamnagar

Kolhapur Auto Works was established by Late Shri Mahadba Mestri, a visionary engineer and
industrialist. With a small conventional setup, the

journey began in Udyamnagar, Kolhapur. Shri
Mestri was the first to develop an indigenous Coal Gas Plant in India and designed the iconic
Vishwas Oil Engine, earning him the title “Yantra Maharshi” for his exceptional contribution to
Indian engineering.

First Export Success

With consistent innovation and quality manufacturing, KAW achieved its first international
export to Africa for sugar mill machinery

marking the beginning of its global footprint.

Launch of Non-Ferrous Foundry

To meet growing industry demands and expand its offerings, KAW added a state-of-the-art
non-ferrous foundry,

enabling complete in-house engineering and casting solutions.

Global Partnership with Chang Tractors, Thailand

A major milestone: Kolhapur Auto Works officially became Kolhapur Auto Works Pvt. Ltd.
With this transition, operations expanded to a modern industrial unit at Gokul Shirgaon MIDC,
equipped with advanced CNC machines and infrastructure for high-precision manufacturing.

Under KAW Group India, the company partnered with Agrimech Engineering Pvt. Ltd. and
Thailand’s renowned Chang Tractors brand. This collaboration aimed to bring
high-performance agricultural harvesting machines to farmers across India and abroad.

Launch of Auto Division & MotoHaus

KAW entered the two-wheeler segment with the formation of KAW Veloce Motors Pvt. Ltd.
(KVMPL). Through the brand MotoHaus, KAW began manufacturing for Brixton Motorcycles
and VLF, fusing international design with Indian manufacturing strength to create a new wave of
electric and fuel-based motorcycles.
